Multiple tornados in the area yesterday destroyed poles and power lines north of Wisner in the Cuming County Public Power District. Approximately sixty poles have been damaged along with a few miles of power lines. CCPPD crews worked until 11pm last night and started at 6:30 this morning. All CCPPD linemen, along with 18 workers from Schmader Electric started repair work and rebuilding this morning. We are hoping to have most customer’s power restored by the weekend.
