UAV Recon will be testing in CCPPD Substations after dark

UAV Recon will begin infrared imaging of all CCPPD substations tomorrow night starting at 9pm. (Friday, September 6th). This means their vehicles may be parked at any of CCPPD’s substations after dark. Look for our "Contracted by CCPPD" magnets on the side of their vehicles. (Dusty Birge)

The drone platform allows an aerial view of these critical components as well as allows thermal equipment to be used, allowing us to identify components that are failing and invisible to the human eye. Replacing these components before failure helps prevent unwanted outages for our customers.
