Restoration of the CCPPD tornado damaged area has been progressing rapidly. Crews will work tonight until dark. CCPPD & Schmader Electric crews will resume work early in the morning to keep restoring poles and power lines. We expect just a handful of customers to still be without power just north and east of the highway 275 & 15 junction. Based on today’s progress, all customers should have power restored by the weekend as long as no unforeseen situation or future storm would arise. Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding in this unfortunate situation. We are keeping everyone in our thoughts and prayers as clean-up work progresses in the area. Please contact the office with any concerns or questions: 402-372-2463 or toll free 1-877-572-2463
Multiple tornados in the area yesterday destroyed poles and power lines north of Wisner in the Cuming County Public Power District. Approximately sixty poles have been damaged along with a few miles of power lines. CCPPD crews worked until 11pm last night and started at 6:30 this morning. All CCPPD linemen, along with 18 workers from Schmader Electric started repair work and rebuilding this morning. We are hoping to have most customer’s power restored by the weekend. Cuming County PPD will provide updates as the situation changes and progress is made. Please contact the office with any concerns or questions: 402-372-2463 or toll free 1-877-572-2463
