UAV Recon will begin doing infrared imaging of all CCPPD substations starting tomorrow July 25th. This means their vehicles may be parked at any of CCPPD substations at anytime, night or day. The drone platform also allows thermal (IR) equipment to be used, allowing us to identify components that are failing and invisible to the human eye. Replacing these components before failure, helps prevent unwanted outages for our customers.
